Friedel signs on

Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel has signed a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Ewood Park until 2010.Now 36, Rovers ‘Mr Reliable’ joined the club in November 2000 on a free transfer from Liverpool, which must be one of the best transfers in Premiership history.
Friedel has started every league fixture for the past four seasons and now holds the appearance record for the club.
