Preston improving their defence
January 31, 2008
Preston are shoring up their defence with two signings.
PNE beat stiff opposition to secure Oldham defender Neal Trotman.
“winning is everything” understands that the 20-year-old centre-half will move to Deepdale for £500,000 with Athletic also receiving further payments based upon appearances.
Trotman should be available for North End’s trip to Norwich on Saturday.
Preston North End have also completed the signing of full-back Michael Hart from Aberdeen.
Hart had already agreed a pre-contract to join Preston when his Aberdeen deal was due to expire in the summer.
But the Championship club wanted to get him sooner, trying to negotiate a fee to sign Hart this transfer window.
The 27-year-old is currently sidelined with a hip injury and holding up an immediate switch. It will be several weeks before he is fit.
