Richards Arrested!

Manchester City star Micah Richards has been arrested and released on bail after a man was assaulted in Hale. The incident occurred outside a nightclub on Christmas Eve.

 

Richards has been questioned by Greater Manchester Police and was later bailed.

 

City Manager Mark Hughes is said to be aware of the situation and has given Richards his full support. Questions surrounding whether or not the defender will be in the squad for the home game with Middlesborough seem to have been answered by Hughes who has stated that Richards is “in the right frame of mind” for the game.

 

The news has not come at the best of times for City after an event packed couple of weeks which saw them miss out on the signing of Brazilian playmaker Kaka, followed by the disappearance of Robinho and subsequent allegations which have been made against him. It certainly is not a good time to be at the City of Manchester Stadium and if I played for them I would just try to get my head down and concentrate on my game.

 

The next few months will be a chance for the current City team to try and prove themselves as in the summer there will be an immense amount of transfer activity – you can be assured of that!
