A game that looked like a draw and ended a draw. Spurs took the lead Boro defender Jonathan Grounds diverted in Aaron Lennon’s volley after a neat cross from Berbatov.

Berbatov hit the post in the second half when his shot hit Pogatetz. The equaliser was a cracker, Stewart Downing strike took a slight deflection of the head of Jermain Jenas, it was enough to arrow the ball past Cerny.

Alves had a great chance to win the match, his shot went narrowly wide. Both sides have nothing to play for now and will play of the rest of the season with a view to next years campaign.
