Villa doing deals
January 30, 2008
“winning is everything” understands Aston Villa have had a bid accepted by Tottenham for Kevin-Prince Boateng and are also testing the medical prowess of Wayne Routledge before his protracted move. The Prince only joined Spurs last summer from German also-rans Hertha Berlin and has looked a decent player when he has been given a chance, but with him being a Jol signing, Ramos may not be a fan.
Villa boss Martin O’Neill likes the look of Boateng and has offered him opportunities at Villa Park.
Boateng now needs a medical and personal terms agreement, and he could simply ask club-mate Routledge what will happen because he is apparently doing the same thing at this very moment. Routledge is looking to kick-start his career after limited opportunities at the London club.
This is the first inward movement from the club, with Olaf Mellberg, the bearded-wonder, agreeing to leave earlier this week for Juventus, at the end of the season.
